A very important skill that I have learned is grant writing. Being able to acquire funds for your organization is incredibly valuable and therefore it was a high priority for me to learn this particular skill. This is a skill that I hope to bring to the organization I work for. My team and I wrote a grant proposal asking for $5,000 for East Coast Christian Center's community food pantry. This food pantry serves more than 300 families each week. The foundation that we are requesting funds from is the Woodberry Carlton Foundation. The document below includes a memo to East Coast Christian Center, the letter of inquiry and the actual grant proposal. This proposal will be submitted in the summer of 2015.
